UK Representative resigns to run for Parliament.

Andre Ebanks, The Cayman Islands Representative to the United Kingdom has resigned, to contest a seat in the 2021 elections, as an independent candidate.

He plans to take on Raul Nicholson Cole (IND) and Tara Rivers (IND). Tara Rivers is the current Member of Parliament, but many remain upset as she remained silent on Speaker Bush’s legal challenges.

Andre was appointed to the post in 2019, becoming Cayman’s in the United Kingdom, responsible for promoting our interest in the Uk and Europe.

Before taking the post, he was a Deputy Chief Officer for 3.5 years. Previously, he worked as an associate for Walkers.
