Supermarkets join together in Covid-19 vaccine requirements.

(RCN) Local supermarkets in the Cayman Islands are coming together to protect the Cayman Islands from Covid-19. From yesterday (9th of August) All supermarkets will require new applicants to prove that they have been vaccinated against Covid-19. Work permit renewals will also only be processed for vaccinated team members.

Employees in these supermarkets who are Caymanian will not have to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, but are strongly encouraged to do so.

Speaking in a joint press release, the stores shared that the decision had been made in support of the Cayman Islands Governments border re-opening plan, and to keep their staff and customers safe.
