Bodden Town East MP is set to join the PACT Government, seeking the approval of his constituents, The Cayman Compass reported.

Seymour has not yet been offered a ministry, but Tourism Minister Kenneth Bryan said that he will be assisting in fixing transportation, and working with Planning Minister Jay Ebanks to establish affordable housing, Cayman News Service (CNS) reported.

The PACT Government also called on Seymour for his experience as Health Minister during the last administration, despite having low approval ratings in this area, CNS reported.

Deputy Premier and Bodden Town West MP Chris Saunders openly invited Seymour to join the government, during Fridays Budget contributions. (RELATED: Former Health Minister Dwayne Seymour, Cayman Compass, targeted in latest Bitcoin Scam.)

“Mr. Seymour I am saying to you on behalf of the people of Bodden Town, you have one half and I have the other, there’s a lot of work to be done, and if you want to get stuff done on behalf of your people I welcome you on this side because I know your heart is in the right place.”

Planning Minister Ebanks also invited Seymour to join PACT, claiming that he was the “missing link.”

Seymour claimed that no one from the opposition tried to encourage him to stay with them, since the lobbying started, The Cayman Compass reported.

“I am grateful for the time that Mr. Seymour spent as a Minister with the Progressives-led coalition government from 2017 to 2021, and as a member of the Opposition following the 2021 elections. I consider him a friend and wish him well.” Opposition Leader Roy McTaggart MP told the Cayman Compass.

Dwayne Seymour was joined by his new PACT colleagues at his public meeting, where constituents encouraged him to join PACT.
