(RCN) Premier Wayne Panton has confirmed that the Post-Arrival Lateral Flow test requirements on days 2,5 and 7 have been dropped. This means that travelers to the Cayman Islands no longer have to go to a LFT testing center and spend up to $75 per person. Travelers will still have to do a Pre-arrival test before coming to the Cayman Islands. “This is a Blessing to one and all who travel” Premier Panton noted.

The Premier also announced that the quarantine period for those not vaccinated against Covid-19 has been dropped from 10 days to 7 days. Those who are vaccinated will also no longer have to test for inter-island travel and can travel freely to the Sister Islands. Those vaccinated will still need to get the lateral flow tests.

Gathering limits have also been increased, to 500 for indoor events and 1000 for outdoor events. Boats can now also have 500 people, which is a big win for boat party organisers.

Those who are in local isolation will no longer have to wait for a PCR test, but can now use Certified LFT tests on their 6th day of isolation.
